How our copywriting process works
Every project runs the same way, whether it's a single article or a full site. Nothing about the process changes to fit the scope — only the scope changes.
Five stages. One writer. No surprises.
The five stages
Brief
You tell us the offer, the audience, and what this piece of copy needs to achieve. For most projects this happens in writing, during checkout; some services (Brand Messaging's Press and Edition tiers) add a live working session here.
Research
We read your site, your competitors, and anything you send us — reviews, sales calls, past campaigns. Copy that sounds specific has to start from something specific.
Draft
You get pages, emails or articles as they're ready — not a single reveal at the end of the project. You can flag direction early, before it's compounded across ten pages.
Revise
Two rounds of revision are included on every package. Feedback goes against what the brief agreed, not a blank "make it better" — which is what keeps two rounds enough.
Deliver
The final copy lands as a clean, ready-to-use document — formatted for your CMS, your ESP, or your publishing workflow, whichever applies.

What we need from you
- A completed project brief (collected at checkout, or by email for a custom scope)
- Any existing brand assets: logo, style guide, past copy, a link to the current site
- One point of contact for feedback during revision rounds
- Access to anything the copy needs to reference (a product, a demo account, a spec sheet) — not access to your CMS or ESP itself
Questions
Do I need to be available for calls throughout the project?
What if my brief changes halfway through?
Can I see drafts before the final delivery?
