Monthly Copy Retainer

A writer who already knows your business, on the calendar, every month.

from €1,250/mo

A desk calendar and a fountain pen, one date circled in red.

A writer who already knows your business, on the calendar, every month.

Who it's for

  • You have a recurring copy need — product updates, campaigns, ongoing site edits
  • You don't have the volume or budget to hire in-house
  • You're tired of re-briefing a new freelancer every month
  • You want capacity on the calendar, not a fresh negotiation each time

What changes

You stop losing a week of every project to re-briefing a new writer from zero, because the same writer is already holding the context.

How this one runs

Onboarding brief

The same discovery process as a one-off project, done once.

Monthly scope call

A short conversation (or async note) on what this month covers.

Draft & deliver on schedule

Work lands on a set date, not "whenever it's ready."

Ongoing revision

Feedback folded in as you go, not saved up for one big round.

Before / after

Before

Product Update — March

We're excited to announce our latest round of product updates! This month, we've made several improvements to enhance your experience and help you get even more value from our platform. Read on to learn more about what's new.

After

You can now approve invoices from your phone

The update that'll actually change your Monday: approvals now work from the mobile app, not just desktop — so the invoice sitting in someone's queue since Friday doesn't have to wait for them to open a laptop. Two smaller fixes below, for anyone who hit them.

What changed and why

Replaced the generic 'we're excited to announce' framing — which tells the reader nothing until they click — with the one change that actually affects their week, named in the subject line itself. This is the kind of email a retainer produces monthly: the news is real, but it still has to be found and led with, every time, not just listed.

What backs this

No annual lock-in, ever — 30 days' notice cancels it, the scope is fixed and published per tier, and how it flexes month to month is stated plainly on this page, not left for you to discover later.

Questions

What if I don't use the full scope in a quiet month, or need more in a busy one?
Unused scope doesn't carry over beyond the following month. If your actual usage consistently runs over or under the tier you're on, we'll move you to the tier that fits at the next monthly billing cycle — no penalty, and no notice period beyond that cycle. A one-off month that needs more than your tier covers is quoted and agreed separately before any of that extra work starts. Policy set out in full in the Terms of Sale §14.
Is there a minimum commitment?
No annual lock-in — 30 days' notice to cancel, any time.
Can the retainer cover more than one type of copy (site + email + articles)?
Yes — scope is agreed monthly, not restricted to one service type.
What happens in the first month?
The same onboarding brief as any one-off project — done once, then carried forward.
